With this data protection notice we inform you (hereinafter referred to as “user” or “data subject”) about our data processing in connection with the use of digital systems that process, display data and connect to a cloud. We will also inform you about your rights regarding the processing of your data. The term “data processing” always refers to the processing of personal data. We attach great importance to protecting your privacy and the security of your personal data. Please read this Agreement carefully to understand how we will treat your information.

1. General information on data processing

The Systems may collect personal information from you when you use them, register, contact us or otherwise interact with them.

1.1 Categories of personal data

We process the following categories of personal data:

  • Inventory data(e.g. names, addresses, functions, organizational affiliation, etc.);
  • Contact details(e.g. email, telephone/fax numbers, etc.);
  • Content data(e.g. text input, image files, videos, etc.);
  • Usage Data(e.g. access data);
  • Meta/communication data(e.g. IP addresses).

1.2 Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

If we disclose personal data to other people and companies, such as contract processors or third parties, transfer it to them or otherwise grant them access to it, this is done on the basis of legal permission (e.g. if a transfer of the data to third parties is necessary for the fulfillment of the contract in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR) if the data subjects have consented or a legal obligation requires this.

1.3 Duration of storage of personal data

The criterion for the duration of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After the deadline has expired, the relevant data will be deleted unless it is no longer required to achieve the purpose.

1.4 Transfers to third countries

If we process data in a third country (i.e. outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA)) or if this occurs as part of the use of third-party services or the disclosure or transmission of data to third parties, this will only occur if it is to fulfill our (pre-)contractual obligations, on the basis of your consent, on the basis of a legal obligation or on the basis of our legitimate interests. Subject to legal or contractual permissions, we only process or have the data processed in a third country if the special requirements of Art. 44 ff. GDPR are met, i.e. the processing is carried out on the basis of special guarantees, such as the officially recognized determination of a data protection level that corresponds to the EU or compliance with officially recognized special contractual obligations (so-called “standard contractual clauses”).

2. Data processing

We process and use your personal data to provide you with the functions and services of the systems, to process your requests, to improve the performance of the systems and to provide you with relevant information. This includes transmitting and storing your data in the cloud.

2.1 Cookies and Consent Management

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. We use a consent management tool (consent banner) that is displayed when you first visit our website. Through this tool, you can accept or reject the use of non-essential cookies. You can change your settings or revoke your consent at any time with future effect by clicking the "Privacy Settings" link in the footer of the website.

We classify cookies and comparable technologies into the following categories:

  • Necessary Cookies (Always active): These cookies are required for the technical operation and basic functions of the website (e.g., storing your privacy settings). The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
  • Analytical Cookies (Disabled by default): These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website (e.g., via Google Analytics) to improve the performance and content of our pages. These cookies are only loaded with your explicit consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
  • Marketing Cookies (Disabled by default): These cookies are used to provide external media (such as YouTube videos or Google Maps). Without your consent, this external content is blocked by default (two-click solution). The legal basis for loading these services is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

2.2 Integration of third-party services and content

We are present on social networks and other virtual platforms with content in order to communicate with customers, interested parties and users and to present our services there. When accessing these networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data protection guidelines of the respective operators apply. This is particularly important if you access our profiles via relevant links on our website.

Unless otherwise stated in our privacy policy, we process your personal data that you provide to us via social networks and virtual platforms as part of our communication, e.g. by sending messages to us, to process your inquiries. The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter b GDPR.

We also use third-party services on our website to optimize and analyze our online presence and to integrate their content and services such as videos or fonts (hereinafter referred to as “services”). This integration always requires that the third party providers of these services process your IP address. Since this cannot be technically prevented, the processing of the IP address is necessary for the use and implementation of the services. We strive to only use services whose providers only use the IP address to deliver the services. Third parties may also use so-called pixel tags (invisible graphics, also known as “web beacons”) for statistical or marketing purposes. The “web beacons” can be used to evaluate various information, such as your visit to our website. Information can also be stored in pseudonymized form in cookies on your device, which processes technical information about your browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting times and other information about the use of our online offering. We use Google Analytics with activated IP anonymization, so that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. The data processing only takes place with your explicit consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can find more information about data use by Google in Google's privacy policy at Google Privacy Policy.

We embed videos from the "YouTube" platform provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) on our website. The integration is carried out via a two-click solution: videos are blocked by default, and no data is transmitted to YouTube until you actively give your consent (either by clicking on the video or via the privacy settings). The connection is only established and the video loaded after your consent. The legal basis for this data processing is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You can find Google/YouTube's privacy policy at Google Privacy Policy.

2.3 Hosting

The hosting services we use serve to provide the following services: infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance services, which we use for the purpose of operating this online offering.
